There are groups of boulders like these all around the ruined Indian city of Hampi.

Some of them only seem to come out as the sun sets....

Before the settlers even built any temples and palaces, nature was getting the raw materials ready for them.
By the way, some of you have already made some really good suggestions on my other pictures from this trip. On the evening shot above, I agonised over whether to crop the width down to something less panoramic, or not. I had a go but wasn't convinced that the central portion of rocks was compelling enough on their own.
Any views on this, or the first image?
