Was out in the field this evening shooting with the diminutive D5100 and 3002.8vrII,
a great combo especially in low light at the end of the day (1/40s) vr really can help!
Plenty of roe deer around as usual though getting a clear shot through
the tall grass not easy, I think this specimen was sufficiently clear of the foliage
to make a reasonable image.

On the full size image, you can almost feel the texture of his coat.

Also great combination of sharp face, yet twitching rump

thanks for your comment, I am very lucky to be able to photograph
certain wildlife where I live, not always easy to get interesting or excellent photos
but I'll continue to try
