Reworked swan image.

share of swan images, this is one I took a while back and have had another
go at editing it.
This is presented exactly as I intended, just curious if you think it works.
It was photographed originally with a view to producing something a little different.
They are such beautiful birds I'm always pleased to see them when I'm near water
and over the years spent countless pleasurable hours photographing them.
Thanks for looking.
As usual clicking on the photo reveals the larger view.

Unfortunately the colour version didn't do it for me as the colour in the water
really distracted from the young swan which I was trying to isolate.
thanks for commenting.
It was a young swan, there was some colour in the bill but not much.
Have always wondered by the way, when does a beak become a bill ?
Guessing it's a size issue

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. [Douglas Adams]

bill 2 |bɪl|noun1 the beak of a bird, especially when it is slender, flattened, or weak, or belongs to a web-footed bird or a bird of the pigeon family.
Thanks Mike, I assumed it was something like the above, though why it should apply to birds
of the pigeon family is a bit baffling.

Thank you Chris, you're very kind.
Wonderful processing Tony .. love it ... the larger view and a large monitor sure helps to appreciate this image ...
It's good to photograph more exotic species sometimes (thinking birds of prey etc) but if the
light is kind all birds are beautiful in my opinion.

I wanted to view this on the NEC at home, and I am glad I did. Lots of subtle details and gradiations of tone. I could see it just a sliver brighter as an option.
Cheers, and yes, I agree about the beauty of birds.
