Few weeks ago I visited a park approx. 75km east of Berlin. The weather was so bad that I was the only visitor in that park but I was rewarded with extremely relaxed animals.

I spotted these lynxes while it was already relatively dark ... there was a fence between me and these guys and what I had was the 300/4 and a 1.4TC. On the good side were the low light capabilities of the D4.

Aguinaldo, the 300/4 is indeed an amazing lens. It requires good nerves though since it sometimes has it's own plans

I know I will get shouted down, but I really don't see the point of the B/W conversions, but the colour ones sing out.

Ah, thanks Mike! I should have placed a bet that you are not going to like the bw conversions. When I put the link to the gallery in the original post I had you in mind (honestly). You find a lot more color versions there ... So, not shouted down, just different opinions

Having visited the Pictinaut site, I quite like the B/W conversions especially when viewed large, but not the toned ones! They are much better than the Nikongear pictures!!! The pict.... version of No1 I think is very very good indeed.

Glad you liked them Mike ... I guess the cats are teenagers but there was noone around to ask how old they exactly are.

and you are right concerning #1 ... I did some test prints today and the colour version of #1 prints much better than the b/w version.
But e.g. #3 printed much better in b/w ...

In the end, the prints always show it
