I found an abandonned factory near my work place. The place is full of possibilities but as the day was rather dark (heavy snow!) I did not visit much inside. I will go back.
This was taken near the entrance.

IR photography can be done in any weather condition which you obviously proved yourself. Snowfall or rain is no exception. A tripod extends the opportunities as well.

The tree on the left side has a halo that might be reduced so as not to detract from the otherwise fine rendition.

Thanks everyone.
A tripod would help indeed, especially with a camera that doesn't offer much high ISO possibilities. It is hard to carry one though as I ride a scooter around Paris to beat the traffic!
I believe the halo around the tree is not a byproduct of my post-processing but rather a snowflake that melted on the lens...
