Luckily the lens jammed in the bayonet so a forced disconnection saved me from seeing debris in the mirror/shutter.
Nope, tis the 28/3.5K.

Good to hear there was no damage to the body.
Using a Bjørn chip/Nikon contact block certainly gives peace of mind.

I am already on the case re. the chip. I believe I already have one that only requires re-programming. The other parts I have plenty of.
