Our Ann knows a lot about Adobe, specifically ACR. On our last trip to Sabi Sabi she very kindly gave us all a demonstration of how to use the features in ACR to edit images in Lightroom 4.2.

As you can see, teaching is very informal on our safaris. Which is the way we like it. Thanks Ann!

Coffee … really strong (high-octane) Espresso! And lots of it!

 

The question is:

Which meal (at what hour in the 24) should be considered to be counted as "Breakfast" or was it "Dinner" from the day before?!

 

Seriously, there are many days when I really never get around going to bed at all.

I have been told, all of my life, by the wise and sensible ones all that I will pay for this one day.

Hasn't happened … yet.

Actually, I have not been able to contribute very much to NG recently because my life has just got extremely busy.

 

A client of some 30-years standing previously (but who had dropped his entire Advertising expenditure entirely in 2009) suddenly called me out of the blue just a couple of days before Easter.

They are back on track and want a new full Advertising campaign with large 4-colour Ads every month until the end of the year.

 

They need new Ads. with new copy-writing and new photography; new content to be added to the web site (which I built for them in 2008 and which they have been using unchanged ever since); new PR articles needed to be written and submitted to the publications; and a new Ad which I had to design, write and create, get approved and send the Insertion Order and finished CMYK Press-ready files to the publication (so that they could get space in the May edition) by … YESTERDAY!

WOW!

However … "Mission accomplished" …somehow!
What a good thing that I can survive without much sleep!

Did you realise just how many different kinds of "hats" I have to wear (but none of them are of the fabric variety!) ?

For a little "relaxation", I have a rather nice lttle greenhouse off my kitchen and it is full of plants all screaming to be fed.

Then I need to try to clean-up all the branches which broke off outside during some fairly ferocious winter storms.

Meanwhile, my cameras are standing around looking a bit doleful and saying "Use me". And so is my vacuum cleaner!

And I promised Dallas some pictures of the Cape too.

Where to start . . . . ?

Hmmm . . . time to switch on that Espresso machine again me thinks!

No matter what experts tell us, the proof of the pudding comes from those who actually walk the talk.

 

Meanwhile, I think you give the coffee too much credit Ann - I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of your drive comes from within. Hope your client realises how lucky they are
