This is a photo I took on the Sparks Street Pedestian Mall in Ottawa Ontario. I was strolling the street looking for photo opportunities, when I noticed a tall, well dressed woman slowly walking from window to window. When she stopped at the jewellery store, I noted the colour harmony between her sweater and the painted wooden window frames, and I began to watch her through the camera's viewfinder. As she continued to gaze into the window, apparently deep in thought, she brought her clenched hand up toward her face, and lifted the heel of her right shoe slightly off the sidewalk, and at that instant I knew I had the shot I wanted.

Great shot Robert for all of the reasons you listed.  And I especailly like the golden glow of light coming from the window onto her face.  Her mannerisms with her raised hand and the angle of her body makes you wonder what she is thinking about.  Excellent work.

i do like this photo/moment, Robert. 
specifically the elements of her reflection
and the OPEN sign seal the deal for me.

regarding candid photography in general,
typically my personal preference is actually
not to inquire beyond what the photograph
already conveys.
though i appreciate that for PJ work a further
inquiry is almost a must.
