Here are some real world examples of images I produced for a client using this lens on a recent food shoot. I mostly used the Nikon 60mm for this job but in hindsight I think the 105mm focal length produced better, more intimate shots. I should have used it for more of the images I did on this job. 

 

It's a very good lens this. I prefer it to the Nikkor 105mm VR as it is easier to handle.
