This is a new Specialist board on our forum dedicated to the sharing and discussion of commercial and editorial photography. It is only visible to our Charter Members and Subscribers.

Commercial photography is shot for the purposes of producing advertising visuals in print media. These images can range from what they call "pack shots" (photos of the product in its packaging) in the advertising industry to highly creative set-ups involving both people and the products in use.

Editorial photography sometimes overlaps with commercial, but generally it is photography that serves the purposes of print media outlets such as magazines, journals and newspapers. It is usually commissioned by editors.

We invite those members who are engaged in this type of photography to show us their work and answer any questions that others might ask about the genre.
