In mid 2011 a decision was taken to make Nikongear.com a predominantly paid subscription site.

We already have well over 1,000 paid members, so the core of our membership is of the calibre of web surfer who recognises the value in the platform we have created here on Nikongear.com and they are happy to contribute to the running of the site financially. We very seldom need to moderate our members and that in itself is a pretty significant achievement when it comes to gauging the quality of an on-line community. People recognise this and since we made the move to be a pay site we have thrived. New members continue to sign up daily.

Our subscriptions come in three flavours.


6 months - $18

If you'd like to test out the waters before splurging too much money, you can try us out for 6 months at the entry level price of $18. This membership will give you full access to all the features and contents of the forum for 6 months. GET IT NOW


12 Months - $30

You get 1 year of full access to the forum, plus all the usual site privileges, such as:

• adding images as attachments to your posts
• up to 1GB of image storage space on the gallery
• access to the private message system
• free classified advertising
• no adverts in-between forum posts

At the end of the subscription period we will invoice you for another 12 months, but if you decide you would rather not renew, you can safely ignore the invoice. We don't automatically charge your card for renewals. GET IT NOW


Life Membership - $75

The Life membership is a lifetime subscription to the site for a once off payment of $75. You will get all the same privileges as a regular subscription, except for the 1GB of gallery space. Life members get 100MB's of gallery space.

Your Life membership can run concurrently with your active subscription, so when the subscription ends you will be invoiced for another year, but you don't have to pay this to retain full access to the site. Once the invoice lapses after 7 days your Life membership becomes your primary membership.
