Pic Of The Week
Nikongear.com acknowledges one member's photograph per week as being outstanding enough to become our Pic Of The Week (POTW). Here's our current choice:
How does it work, you may be asking? Well, in the old days it was up to Dallas, the site owner, to go through as many photos as he could during a week and then choose one worthy of the honour. As the site grew it became a bit difficult for him to manage the site and its members on a daily basis as well as try and find a POTW every week, so Dallas had a very good idea: why not let a committee of members decide what images should be made the POTW?
Every week a sub-committee of our Content Committee finds images posted in the critique zone that are worthy of being the POTW. On a rotational basis each member of the committee gets to chose one POTW from those nominations. The image chosen as POTW is put into our POTW gallery and shown on the front page of the site.
The rules for eligibility are straightforward:
1. Only images posted between the Monday and Sunday of the week preceding selection can be nominated.
2. Nude images may be nominated, but only if the original poster agrees to this.
